TiviMate setup: playlists, guide data and premium

TiviMate runs on Android TV and Fire TV only — there is no iOS, Tizen or webOS version. Add your playlist or Xtream Codes login, let it download the channel list, attach the guide source, then set the timezone so programme times match your clock. Several convenience features, including multiple playlists and recording, require the paid premium tier.

Adding your playlist

Resist the urge to build channel groups and favourites before you have confirmed playback. Reorganising a list you then have to reload is wasted effort.

  1. Install TiviMate on an Android TV box or Fire TV device.
  2. On first launch choose "Add playlist" and select either Xtream Codes or M3U playlist to match your details.
  3. Enter the server address, username and password, or the full playlist URL.
  4. Wait for the channel list to download completely — on a large catalogue this genuinely takes a while.
  5. Open the channel list and confirm your regular channels are present before customising anything.

Guide data and timezone

  • If your account provides guide data through an Xtream Codes login, TiviMate usually picks it up automatically.
  • For a separate guide source, add it under Settings → EPG and allow the first download to finish.
  • A guide that is offset by whole hours is a timezone problem. Check the device timezone first, then TiviMate’s own EPG time-shift setting.
  • A guide that is missing on some channels and present on others is coverage, not configuration.

Free versus premium

Premium is a one-off or subscription purchase from TiviMate’s developer, depending on the option chosen. It is entirely separate from any streaming subscription, and no streaming provider can issue it to you.

Questions people ask

Does TiviMate work on iPhone or Samsung TVs?

No. TiviMate is an Android TV and Fire TV application. There is no iOS, tvOS, Tizen or webOS version, and any site offering one is not distributing the real app.

Is TiviMate premium required?

Not for basic viewing with one playlist. Multiple playlists, recording and multi-view are premium features purchased from the developer, separately from your subscription.

Why is my TiviMate guide two hours out?

A whole-hour offset is a timezone issue. Set the device timezone correctly first, then use TiviMate’s EPG time-shift only if a mismatch remains.
